Why FCC records matter
Electronic products sold in the United States may be subject to FCC technical and authorization requirements related to radio-frequency emissions or intentional transmitters.
What to record
- Exact model number.
- FCC identifier when applicable.
- Manufacturer declaration or certificate.
- Installation conditions stated in the documentation.
Use current documents
The Compliance Center organizes published model-level references, but the current manufacturer document should be checked before regulated procurement.
